Loan Resolution

The Louisiana State Museum is a state agency founded in 1906. Headquartered in New Orleans, it encompasses a network of thirteen facilities located across Louisiana. The LSM's French Quarter facilities include six National Historic Landmarks: the Cabildo (1795 - 1799), the Presbytere (1791 - 1813), the Old U.S. Mint (1835), the Arsenal (1839), Madam John's Legacy (1789), and the 1850 House. The LSM operates additional museums in Patterson, Thibodaux, Natchitoches, and Baton Rouge.

The Louisiana State Museum is in the process of resolving outstanding loans made to the institution over a considerable period of time. The following document contains a list of lenders and loaned objects which were loaned to the museum primarily in the very early days of the institution (prior to 1940), and which we are currently working to resolve: Click here to download PDF document
